Back in May this year I photographed Andy and Rowen Birch’s wedding at a gorgeous wedding venue called Cripps Barn, Nr Cirencester, Wiltshire.
This wedding was so lovely that I have used it to build my current sample wedding album. A combination of the Bride & Groom, the venue, and the guests made the day a perfect one and an excellent example wedding to display my style.
What do I love about Cripps Barn then? Well…it has everything in one place, away from the business of built up areas. The barn conversion is wonderful, and inside you find a grand main hall for the wedding ceremony, with nice details to adorn the room, for example candles are lit and set back into holes in the wall, and a big log fire is burning at the front of the room.
Attached to the main hall is a wonderful marquee to host your wedding breakfast in an indulgent manner. The draped roof to the marquee, lit with hundreds of fairy lights is stunning as the evening approaches and is a perfect backdrop to the evening reception photos.
Moving outside we find my favourite area as the photographer. The grounds are simply beautiful and are host to many locations to shoot lovely photos of the bride and groom, and to photograph the guests enjoying themselves. If you time your wedding right, you’ll also have wonderful yellow fields full of rapeseed as a backdrop to the day and your photos.
Lanterns are hung in the trees and there is a bonfire that is burning away in the evening allowing guests to enjoy the outdoors even on the coldest nights. I also believe there is an option to camp onsite after the wedding, and I can image all the fun that would be had sat around the camp fire until the early hours.
I also must highly recommend the staff at the venue who were very attentive to the Bride and Groom’s every need, and even went out of their way to inform me when the roast chicken’s were ready to be photographed on the spit.
My show album presents the venue in all its glory and I am more than happy to arrange meetings with couples who are interested in seeing an entire wedding at the venue.
